Refund policy

When buying products as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract, as provided for in articles 64 – 67 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 206/2005, known as the Italian Consumer Code.

The shop is for private customers only and the right of withdrawal will only apply to natural persons or private consumers who buy products for purposes unrelated to their business.

You will not be entitled to such right of withdrawal if you have bought the products for reasons related to your business, with reference to the purchase contract.

Pursuant to and within the limits of art. 64 of the Italian Consumer Code, you have the right to exercise your right of withdrawal within 10 working days of receiving the goods you have purchased. This entitles you to return the goods and get a refund of the amount you have paid, without penalty and without giving any reason.

The shipping costs will be at your own expense.

The right of withdrawal will no longer apply if the returned product:

  • is not intact, for example, due to the lack of parts of the product (box or other documents)
  • has been damaged for reasons other than transportation from the shop to your delivery address.


To return your purchase, you will need to contact a courier of your choice and ship the product (in its original packaging and, in any case, carefully packaged) complete with all original accessories.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must ship the product within ten working days of your notification.

As required by Italian law, shipping costs and liability for the goods in transit will be your responsibility. We recommend that you add shipping insurance to your package and make sure to carefully pack the goods. Where possible, place the original packaging in an external box and, in any case, avoid damaging the product with adhesive tapes, labels, etc.

If the goods were damaged in transit, Merù will notify you within 5 working days of receipt of the product, so that you have the time to make a complaint to the courier service.

The damaged goods will be made available for return, while your withdrawal request will be canceled.

Except as described below for partial withdrawals, Merù will refund the full amount of your purchase and any transport costs for delivery into your credit card or Paypal account or by wire transfer to the bank account you have indicated within 30 days of becoming aware that you have exercised your right of withdrawal.

Transport costs for returning the products will be your responsibility.

In the event of a partial withdrawal (i.e. concerning only some the products delivered with a single delivery), any shipping costs that you have paid at the time of purchase will not be refunded.



You can cancel your order at no cost as long as the product has not yet been shipped and the payment has not yet been received.

If the product has already been prepared and handed over to the courier or the payment has already been received, then you will have to exercise your right of withdrawal and return the goods to Merù.

In the latter case, you will need to follow the procedures described above to exercise your right of withdrawal.
